Activate Your Mind, Body, & Spirit: How to Bring Yourself Into Balance

The mind, body, and spirit are three interconnected aspects of our being. If we want to feel whole and lead healthy, fulfilling lives, we need to focus time and attention on learning, understanding, developing, and connecting to our mind, body and spirit.

The mind is the part of us that thinks, reasons, and makes decisions. The body is the physical vessel that houses our mind and spirit. The spirit is the essence of who we are – it is our life force, our consciousness, and our source of power.

When we are out of balance in any of these three areas, it can have a negative impact on our health and well-being. By taking the time to connect with our mind, body and spirit, we can bring about greater harmony and balance in our lives.

How to bring the mind, body and spirit into balance:

  • Move your body -- however, you like for at least 30 minutes
  • Meditate -- set a timer, start with 20 minutes, you may be surprised
  • Breathe -- take time to breathe
  • Rest -- get enough, take time to prepare for bed
  • Touch -- hug yourself, a friend or your partner or put one hand to your heart one on your stomach and simply breathe
  • Connect with nature, earthing -- take off your shoes, stand barefoot on the ground, get ten minutes of sunshine a day especially during work break, detox from your phone and sit by a tree, gaze at the stars or look for the moon at night, light a candle and watch it burn
  • Eat clean -- make healthy nutrition swaps - eat less processed, more alive foods
  • Make time for self-care -- whatever it means for you, set aside you time.
  • Journal -- try free writing to express your emotions in a judgement free zone and release tension
  • Practice - spirituality is a universal concept, whatever your practice is, commit to connecting with unseen, larger forces that give you a sense belief, belonging, purpose and calm
  • Get support -- part of finding balance is making sure you have a support network, being human isn't always easy, seek out experts and guides when needed

“The concept of total wellness recognizes that our every thought, word, and behavior affects our greater health and well-being. And we, in turn, are affected not only emotionally but also physically and spiritually.”

Balance your spirit: book an oracle card reading

Do you have some questions that you'd like some quick guidance on? An Oracle Card reading may be just what you seek.

As everything that we think, say and do is energy, we all have a vibration that we send out into the world.

Oracle Cards each have their own energy too. They work through responding to the vibrations in our energy, so that the messages that we need to receive match what we are experiencing and going through in our lives.

You can choose between 1, 3 or 5 questions to have read for you using a range of different oracle cards.

Nathan Ho will present these different oracle cards to you on the day of your appointment and help you find the balance and insight you seek.

Emotionally out of balance?

We all know when we haven't had enough sleep, tipped the scale towards having too much caffeine, or stayed out too late for "just one more drink." But there are other ways our mind creates patterns that bring us emotionally out of balance.

Just as the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected so can be the way we experience drama. The way conflict and stress affect our daily experience can easily throw us off balance, leaving us feeling out of wack.

Recognising the signs of The Drama Triangle, a psychological model of dysfunctional interaction that involves three roles: Victim, Villain, and Hero, can be integral to achieving interconnected serenity. Each role represents a habitual response to conflict. By taking responsibility for our involvement in the perpetuation of drama, we can accept and recognise our actions.

Healing the Pattern:

  • The Victim becomes the Creator: Becoming empowered, problem-solving, and responsible for self
  • The Villian becomes to the Challenger: Focusing on altruistic intentions provides meaning and motivation to their actions
  • The Hero becomes the Coach: Teaching, encouraging and motivating others rather than becoming embroiled or controlling

Through therapy, coaching and personal development we can gain awareness and the necessary tools to hold ourselves accountable, respond creatively, and allow healing to take place.
