Blue Cypress Essential Oil

$49.95 AUD $39.96 AUD
Blue Cypress is a beautifully calming essential oil, bringing a sense of balance and stability. Its refreshing aroma is a sweet mix of citrus and pine, which allows it to pair well with several other essential oils. The oil is steam distilled from the timber and bark of the Australian Blue Cypress tree and is recognised for its brilliant blue colour. Blue Cypress has long been used by first nations people of Australia for many ailments, such as aches, pains, and healing, but more recently has been recognised for its ability to assist in skin healing. It’s purported that this oil can support skin health by reducing redness and managing breakouts (due to its antibacterial properties), as well as easing inflammation. However, perhaps its more common use is for soothing and grounding the mind—reducing stress and promoting a calmer, more easy-going mood. In fact, Blue Cypress blends beautifully with Frankincense for deep relaxation of the mind. The anti-inflammatory and soothing properties of Blue Cypress Essential Oil also make it useful for easing muscle soreness. For this purpose, it should be mixed with a carrier oil, such as Coconut or Jojoba, and rubbed into the skin.
